Cohn, Benno (1894-1965)
Jurist and German Zionist leader who headed the Blau-Weiss (Blue-White) Zionist Youth Movement
From 1937 until his emigration to Palestine shortly before the war began, he chaired the Zionist Federation of Germany and ran the Palestine Office in Berlin. In this capacity, he met with Adolf Eichmann on several occasions and testified about these encounters during Eichmann's trial in Jerusalem. In 1939, he settled in Palestine. In 1961-1965, he was a member of the Knesset.
